St. Andrew’s, The Falls, N.S.

In 2010, a cairn was built on the old St. Andrew’s property, commemorating the now – closed church. In October, 2011, an official dedication of the cairn was held inside the “Old Kirk”, as it is still known, out of the pouring rain. The afternoon included lunch, a choir and the sharing of stories and photos about the church, which was part of the four – point Tatamagouche pastoral charge between 1872 and 2002. Among the faithful who gathered was Rev. John Fortier, who served the congregation between 1960 and 1963.

The building of the cairn was featured in the Record’s March, 2011 issue.
