In December St. Andrew’s fêted Ona Carlaw upon her retirement after 39 years of service as elder, Sunday school teacher and clerk of session. The latest of a line of Mrs. Carlaws that reaches back to the church’s 1858 founding, “Saint Ona” remains active as a beloved charter member of the Blue Banner ladies’ group.
The first picture shows Ona with some of her grandchildren, the 8th generation of Carlaws in this church.
