Mrs. Maines’s Mustard

It’s delicious with just about anything! Makes about 8 oz.  My mother in law’s recipe. I have many many fond moments with Jessie Sutherland! A great cook. A great lady.

Mrs. Maines’s Mustard:

1/2 cup Keenes Mustard
1/2 cup vinegar
2 eggs
1/2 cup sugar

Mix the mustard and vinegar and let sit covered for at least eight hours. Then beat the eggs and sugar together and add them to the mustard mixture. Cook in a double boiler, stirring constantly, for about five minutes until thckened. Cool and refrigerate.
