Re Constructive Anxiety, January

I’m a relative newcomer to the Presbyterian Church; I’m changing denominations and traditions after more than 30 years of ordained ministry in an evangelical church. Yes, there is a lot of change and anxiety and some numerical decline in our national church. But I feel great optimism and hope for our future. There are lots of signs of life and health and renewal in our denomination. We may look very different a decade or two from now. But God is always renewing and reforming. If we are open to some of the suggested changes in the editorial and open to new ways of relating to our changing society, we will continue to make an important contribution and be an influence for God and for good. New directions, creative changes, innovative discussion and thinking. Bring them on.
