St. Luke’s and St. James, Oshawa, Ont.

The Refuge in Oshawa, Ont., works with homeless and street youth in the Region of Durham, providing love, nurture, encouragement, safety and belonging. On Saturday, Feb. 23, a team of 12 people from St. James and St. Luke’s Presbyterian churches walked 5 km and 10 km to support this organization as part of a Canada-wide Coldest Night of the Year fundraising walk to help the homeless. We raised $2,225 to support their work, part of the $52,333 total that was raised for the Refuge.
