Living Word, who speaks creation into existence,
Silence our mouths to listen for you. Your peaceful Presence relieves our anxious thoughts and your mercy restores where words have left wounds. Strengthen our trust as we hear you speak. And when finally, you stir our lips to speak, may it be a word of Love that leaves our lips. Amen.
Our words may have the greatest impact on creation today. Just as we try not to leave a damaging imprint on the natural world, we can select words that have the potential to heal and restore our neighbor. May the words we speak, today, bring new creation.
