Friday, November 1, 2013 — Morning Reflection

For most of us, there is only the unattended
Moment, the moment in and out of time,
The distraction fit, lost in a shaft of sunlight,

Today I am willing to be completely at peace with how things are right now. I am attending to the moment while reading Eliot and drinking thick Vietnamese coffee just getting my body ready for the tasks at hand. In the other room, the music lasts with Rampal playing Sakura. There are some hints and guesses about what this autumn day might be like. And the rest is prayer…
