Province House, Halifax

Rev. Robert A.B. MacLean was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in recognition of his 66 years of faithful service to the cross and the crown. It was presented on July 4, 2013 by then Premier Darrell Dexter at a ceremony in the Veterans Room of Province House, Halifax.

The minister emeritus of St. Andrew’s, Dartmouth, N.S. was also presented (in absentia) with a Diamond Jubilee Century of Service Medallion, an honorary award for veterans. So was his brother Bill MacLean, a retired RCMP inspector. The award was presented on April 13 by Carole Thompson, President of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Nova Scotia Council, at a ceremony at the Legion in Bedford, N.S.
