Several church communities from Presbyterian, United and Lutheran congregations joined together for an Ash Wednesday Service on March 5 at Faith Lutheran Church, Oshawa. The pastors of these congregations meet weekly to study the Sunday texts, which has led to events such as weekly Lenten Lunches attended by an average of nearly 100 people last year, joint choir concerts, and study opportunities. A spirit of Christian unity has grown between the members of these diverse congregations.
