On the threshold of evening
As I sit and listen
To earth’s breathing
As I come home to my body
And mark a space from which
To let go of thoughts
And call out a prayer
to you Beloved.
As I invite the spirits of this place
to dance me into worship
I discover this space where I am both
the redeemer and the redeemed
Come and rest with me tonight
In this silent place
where soul does its work,
and where the Christ
as symbol of the Self
can be found.
Let us pray.
Let us breathe.
