All over Facebook today, we will see TGIF and variations of that sentiment. I would rather thank God for every day, for each sunrise, for every minute that I live. I offer you this Canticle from the Northumbria Community to begin your Friday, and I invite you to make it a part of your daily prayers.
Teach us, dear Lord, to number our days;
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.
Oh, satisfy us early with Thy mercy,
that we may rejoice and be glad all of our days.
