Except in very rare cases, every woman makes the mola she wears. She learns how to make them at a very young age. I continue to draw inspiration from the women of Kuna Yala and the mystery that surrounds the art of making molas. Reminds me of a song when I was growing up.
Picture yourself in a boat on a river
With tangerine trees and marmalade skies
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
