Jennifer de Combe is the new associate secretary of the Canadian Ministries department effective Dec. 7.
De Combe previously served as executive director of Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre, a joint Presbyterian-Anglican ministry in Montreal, and before that at Montreal City Mission, a United Church ministry.
“I’ve always been interested in social ministries and Christian education,” she said. “I love participating in the whole life of the church. I love worship. I love social justice. I love fellowship.”
She calls the Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul in Montreal her church home.
“I hope to help churches be church in different ways,” she said of her new job, noting that she has an interest in new models for congregations.
De Combe has a master’s degree in sacred theology from McGill University and is a candidate for ministry.
