Here’s an unsung hero of the church: the envelope secretary. Pore over the lists, prepare the envelopes, and then nudge, nudge, push, make sure folks pick them up, oh missed one, check the list again, update, and of course, nudge nudge push, make sure folks pick up their stuff. Don Wylie of Knox, Grand Valley, Ont., did it for 30 years before retiring recently. Chances are he’s picked up a few tips over the years. Rev.
