Jesus To The Rescue was the theme for the five-day Vacation Bible School at St. Andrew’s, Priceville, Ont. One hundred and forty-three children were registered and daily attendance was an average of 95. There were about 45 volunteers ranging in age from 11 to 83. Children rotated through rescue, music, crafts, games and Bible story centres. The stories included Noah, Elijah, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, Esther and Jesus. The Rescue Centre featured Elephant Thoughts Science Experiments, Flesherton-Artemesia Fire Department, K-9 unit, OPP with a seatbelt focus, and finally the EMS with the ambulance on Friday. The weather was spectacular and every day there were water games with balloons, sponges, slip and slide and finally the dunk tank to keep the children cool. Friday evening’s celebration featured Jackie Ralph with her puppet presentation, Michael Hiltz, and stories and songs by various groups. Chapman’s donated the ice cream once again and everyone enjoyed the dunk tank on the Acorn’s lawn. Special entertainment by Carmen White, Michael Hiltz, Rev. David Nicholson and Ruth Brillinger was enjoyed by all. Click to enlarge.
