Retiring pastor honoured
Rev. John Ferrier jokes after receiving a retirement gift from Elva Hemphill, clerk of sessions, at the retirement banquet held for him on Friday evening at the Knox Fellowship Hall. Tributes were paid to him by family members and many who have worked with him here and elsewhere, including representatives of the three organization for whom he serves as chaplain, the Legion, the RCMP and the Weyburn Fire Department. He will continue to be a chaplain with those groups after he retires as pastor at the end of March.
