14

Over 300 people walked, ran, were pushed or pulled and cycled to raise over $38,000 in support of the Ontario Rett Syndrome Association www.run4rett.ca. Becky Kellar, a member of Canada’s gold medal Olympic hockey team, cut the ribbon to begin the run. he brought along both her gold medal and her 18 month old son. I am attaching a photo from the run. The girls suffering from Rett Syndrome (we call them the silent angels) are wearing the pink t-shirts. Abby Congram, granddaughter of former Record editor John Congram, can be seen standing with her mother.
