Rev. Dr. George H. McNeill (left) is a veteran of the Second World War. He was born in Edinburgh, Scotland and ordained a Baptist minister in 1942. Recruited in the 2nd Gloucesters Regiment he served in France, Belgium, Holland and Germany and landed on D-Day. In 1948 he immigrated to Canada, serving Baptist pastorates in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick. On the right is Rev. Lt. Commander (Retired) Robert A. B. MacLean, CD1, Padre Emeritus, who has served the military for 60 years – 10 in Legion, four in Cadet Programs, 22 in Reserve Service, 24 in Regular Forces duty. Both men were honoured last November by the Bedford, N.S., Branch #95 of the Royal Canadian Legion.
