Dunwood Place in New Westminster, B.C., celebrated it’s 30th anniversary on October 27th, 2007. The Presbyterian Senior Citizens’ Housing Society with Ian Shephaerd as preseident, operated Dunwood, formed int he 60s because of a desire to provide low-cost rental housing for seniors on limited income. There are 88 1-bedrooms and 105 bachelor suits. Douglas H. Dougans and John E. Grant, two of the original board members from 1968, are still active in the operation of Dunwood. Church, the last Sunday evening of each month; Bible studies, twice a week. Dunwood is truly a blessing.
