New WARC secretary

WARC – A Canadian United Church member, Kristine Greenaway, has been appointed executive secretary for communications by the World Alliance of Reformed Churches (WARC). She began work at the organization's headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland in January.
WARC is a fellowship of 214 national churches in 107 countries worldwide, whose theologies are rooted in the 16th century Reformation.
At an international gathering in June 2010, WARC is set to unite with the Reformed Ecumenical Council to form the World Communion of Reformed Churches. “We've been very much a part of this,” says Stephen Kendall, principle clerk of General Assembly and a representative with WARC. Kendall says plans are underway for the council, to be held in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He hopes to include strong aboriginal involvement and stress the importance of indigenous issues.
