ACT—Two development bodies are amalgamating to create the ACT Alliance. The new body will draw on a common income of more than $2 billion US and a staff of 40,000 including volunteers.
The two Geneva-based organizations, Action By Churches Together International, which focuses on emergency relief, and ACT Development,which works on long-term development, represent more than 150 agencies, churches and organizations, including the Presbyterian Church in Canada through a partnership with PWS&D.
