The Presbytery of Temiskaming held an elders’ workshop at MacKay, Timmins, Ont., in April. Rev. John-Peter Smit was the instructor/facilitator. The Theme of the workshop was “Eldership as Leadership” and “The Four Things That Only an Elder Can Do”. Nineteen attended from St. Andrew’s, Kirkland Lake; St. Paul’s, Englehart; Tomstown Presbyterian; St. John’s, Kapuskasing; Knox Presbyterian, Cochrane and MacKay Presbyterian in Timmins. Catered by the Timmins Church Women with wonderful homemade soup, muffins, and much more.
