No one knows exactly how the Pig Fund started at Calvin-Goforth, Saskatoon, but the Sunday school children wanted to help other children around the world have enough food to eat. They began a coin jar to raise enough money to help one family in need start raising pigs. The little fund grew from a few coins to $310 — much more than just one pig!
