It was with great surprise and elation that I received the December issue and saw my artwork gracing the front cover, being chosen as this year’s Cover Art contest winner.
My church is a small rural congregation where each member receives the Record and as can be imagined the fact that a member of the congregation won the honour created quite the excitement and placed me in a celebrity role … at least for the Sunday following when the members received their copies in the mail.
It certainly was an honour as we regard the magazine highly and look forward to each issue. The magazine not only represents the voice of Presbyterians, but also connects us with our church family nationally.
