Right in Front of You
I miss the small lake that sat right in front of my house, when I lived at the other end of town, but I have a multitude of memories that surface every now and then.

I can see some of you shaking your heads and saying…that lady really needs to get a life. Another fish story? Well sorry, but besides me they are the only live things in the house and the four of us (three little fishes and me) just have each other.
Parking at our hospital is at a premium and many of us make arrangements to be dropped off and picked up, rather than go through the process of trying to find a parking place.
It is really astounding the things that trigger memories, especially memories of loved ones now gone.
This morning the garbage truck arrived. I live in a condo complex so the garbage container is large and a truck comes ones a week, hoists it over the top, empties it and places it gently back inside its fenced area.
I am sure there are a few of you out there that remember the little song “Three little fishies in an idy-bidy pool.” It was one of those nonsense songs that had a catchy tune. Enough said…that was a long time ago.
It has come as a bit of a revelation but along with all the other titles I have owned…daughter, sister, sweetheart, fiancée, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother I have another one…”single mom.”
