Ministry

"Two years ago, I was searching for a church home and came across Sherwood Park Presbyterian Church. The service was uplifting, the sermon was meaningful and the congregation welcomed me literally with open arms. It was just wonderful. I have had difficulties in my life over the past few years, and I cannot express how caring and compassionate the congregation have been to me and how much healing I have undergone over my two years as a parishioner at Sherwood Park Presbyterian Church. This church has become a very important part of my life and I would recommend it to anyone in search of healing, fellowship or peace. Sherwood Park Presbyterian Church welcomes you just as you are."

Our music director is Donalee Inglis-Gorfer. Donalee and enjoys contemporary as well as traditional Christian music. She also creates our power point program for Sunday worship.

We enjoy sharing food and spending time with one another. We have several pot luck lunches during the year and a birthday cake on the first Sunday of each month.

A Bible study group is held at various times during the year and is open to all who would like to learn more about God’s message to us. Knowledge of the Bible is not necessary.

For those who like to sing as part of an organized group, we offer a special occasions choir at Christmas and Easter. Donalee Inglis-Gorfer, our music director,  is great at working with people of all musical ability.

We support our community as part of the Sherwood Park Chamber of Commerce; through the Sherwood Park Food Bank; and with a popular craft fair each November. We also give financial support to Presbyterian World Service and Development.

Our sanctuary seats up to 300 people and can be used for weddings and funerals. Our church hall seats 120 people for activities and celebrations. Both of these are available to rent by the public.
