Church Groups

Session

Session is the primary leadership body of the church, taking responsibility for the congregation’s spiritual growth and witness to the Gospel, and for all executive-level decision-making about our life in community together. Session is comprised of members of the congregation who have been ordained as Ruling Elders. Elders serve in a variety of ways at St. Andrew’s on our teams and committees, in pastoral care ministry, by leading mission and outreach projects, by participating in Sunday worship, and in many other ways.
Our Ruling Elders: Hazel Bennett, Bob Cook, Noel Dundee, Sharon Emmett, Holli Griffith, Rex Hillman, Fred Maxim, Yvonne McInnes, Doug Norcross, Lee Rawson, Evelyn Shaw, and Susan Smith, Billy Welsh
Clerk of Session: Mary Strong
Teaching Elder and Moderator: Rev. Emily Webb

Board of Managers

The Board takes care of the financial, administrative and facilities management of St. Andrew’s. They have the gifts of administration and stewardship, and play a vital role in maintaining and renewing our building. New managers are always welcome! Please speak to a Board member or the minister.
Our managers are: Don Elliott (Chairperson), Sandra St. Germain, Cathy Hampshire, Doug Gray, Arturo Amezcua, and Fred Maxim.

Congregational Life

The congregational life team organises coffee and conversation after Sunday worship, as well as hosting celebrations for special occasions in the life of the congregation. St. Andrew’s Coffee Club plays a vital role in supporting our Sunday get-togethers and contributes generously to other projects and ministries. Throughout the year, teams bake and sell pies, scones, and our famous St. Andrew’s shortbread.
Volunteers to serve at coffee and conversation are always needed! Contact the church office or speak to a member of the team for orientation and a wonderful opportunity to serve.

Worship & Music Team

This team plans and assists with several special worship services and musical events during the year, including the Good Friday Cantata, Kirkin’ o’ the Tartans, Thanksgiving Food Drive, Remembrance Day and the Music & Carols of Christmas.

Women’s Missionary Society

The Women’s Missionary Society is a group of Christian women who encourage one another and all the people of the church to be involved in local and world mission through prayer, study, service and fellowship. They meet on the second Tuesday of the month at 1:30pm. New women are always welcome! Contact the church office for more information.

Pathways to Faith

This small group meets monthly, usually on a Wednesday evening. We discuss how our faith is relevant in today’s world, and how we can put our faith into action. We also take on projects around the church, including redecorating and renovations, and get together to bake. We also support congregational life by hosting a Mother’s Day lunch and taking our turn serving coffee after Sunday worship.
Please consider travelling along the pathway with us – we would be happy to see you! Contact the church office or speak to Yvonne McInnes for more information.
