Proclaim

“and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, and that repentance for the forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. You are witnesses of these things.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭24‬:‭46‬-‭48‬ ‭ESV‬‬

All the hearing and seeing point to this truth of God’s grace. This is the message that we all need to hear. The promises that are evident in the Bible, are realized in Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection. God sent these promises through the prophets that people did not listen to or fully understand their message. Many times we even complicate this simple yet profound message of God’s grace and mercy. His resurrection pointed to the reality that when we repent He has given us forgiveness for our sin. This is a wonderful truth that focuses on the love that Jesus has shown to us. His sacrifice gives us hope. His life points the way to the source of our hope. His forgiveness challenges our assumptions about each other and who is able to be forgiven and saved.

May we have the ears to hear, and the eyes to see, and the mouths to willingly proclaim that good news that Jesus has given to us and changed our lives with.
