Ministry

We believe that God has gifted each of us with gifts to be used to care for the people of the church, the people of our community, people around the world.

To this end we have an active Session made up of 10 ruling Elders and one teaching Elder/pastor caring for God’s people, leading as examples of Jesus’ love and redemption, and reaching out to our community.

At St. Andrew’s we have a music ministry that is lead by our organist.  We have people that gather to put together a choir for special occasions, a Praise team that plays about every six weeks, and we use recorded music for some of the more modern songs and to help us learn new songs.

The Sunday School is led by a group of people filled with a love of Jesus and a love of children.  Each Sunday, the teachers prepare to lead their different classes on a journey of faith that nurtures the children where they are at and challenges the older students to take hold of their faith and apply what they have learnt to their everyday lives putting it into action.

A team from St. Andrew’s heads up a Sports Camp led by a group from Scripture Union (SUSports Camp).

Another active group is the Ladies of St. Andrew’s who meet, share and serve together in the church and in the community.

We believe in the power of Prayer and the importance of prayer in our lives. We have a prayer chain that is confidential but very supportive.

In times of need we also have people that provide meals to help relieve some of the stress and worries that a family may be going through.

We are also active in supporting the Local Food bank,  If you are in need of the food bank or would like to help out, the address is 146 George St. Arthur, ON N0G 1A0 and you can call 519-848-3272.  It is open on Tuesdays from 10am – 12pm.  In emergency please call the number given and someone will get back to you.
