Outreach Ministry Opportunity – Welcoming Arms

Welcoming Arms loves and serves the low-income community of Aurora through various weekly programs, one of which is Bridging the Gap (BTG). BTG provides a safe and informal setting for our visitors to meet on a one-on-one basis with a volunteer, offering opportunities to share their successes and challenges. On a practical basis, we provide grocery gift cards, transit tickets, toiletries and clothes closet vouchers. We are currently looking for volunteers to join our team in the Bridging the Gap program. We are looking for individuals with Administrative and/or Counseling skills.
For more information on the program please check out:

The St. Andrew’s Prayer Chain offers daily prayers for those in need of God’s help. If you would like to request our prayers for yourself or for a loved one, please call Cheryl Daddis, 905-841- 3674 or email [email protected]. Your prayer requests are a sacred trust and will be kept entirely confidential.

Please consider signing up for the PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) program.  Using the PAR program for offerings allows congregational members and adherents to give intentionally, proportionally and faithfully to the church, even when they are not able to be there in person. This helps provide the church with a dependable flow of contributions, makes budgeting easier and reduces paper work.

All you need to do is speak to Carolyn Johnston or Don Hutchinson, our Envelope Secretaries and they will set it up for you.  Once done, your bank account will be debited the amount of your donation each month on about the 20th.  No more writing cheques or making sure you have the your envelope ready for collection.
