Scripture: Matthew 14:22-33
Title: Immediate help of Jesus

Jesus sent his disciples away after feeding 5000 in order to have personal prayer time with God.
The disiples spent the night without Jesus in the middle of the sea.
As they experienced storm and wind, the power of the water, Jesus walked on the water to them.
Ego eimi. It is I. Do not be afraid.

ego eimi is I AM – one of the names of God.

In this scene, Jesus is identifying himself with God.

Jesus, God the Creator, was with his disciples.
Also, God Jesus calls us to jump out of the boat and walk on the water like Peter in today’s story.
