Pastoral care comes in many forms, such as:
- Visiting (home and hospital), calling, cards and prayers
- Celebrating birthday Sunday each month
- Acting on the needs of the congregation and community as we are able
- Crisis counseling and support
- Funeral support
- Conducting weddings
- Sharing information on pertinent wellness-related programs and services
- Offering support and encouragement
- Celebrating milestones
While the minister and Session are primarily responsible for the pastoral care of the congregation, as a church family people look out for one another, offering words of encouragement and greetings, lending an ear, empathizing and so on.
