Worship Services

Sunday Worship:

Worship takes place each Sunday at 11 a.m.  A time for socializing and refreshments takes place in the hall following service.

During our regular Sunday worship service, children and youth participate in worship for part of the service.  Following a discussion with the minister, which normally is an object lesson or science experiment, the children and youth depart for Sunday school.  They then join us at the conclusion of service for fellowship and refreshments.

Special Services:

Special services also take place throughout the year, including a Good Friday service, Maundy Thursday Potluck and Tenebrae Service (with St. Andrew’s), Palm/Passion service, two Easter services, the annual memorial service in September, Remembrance Sunday service, Longest Night Service (first night of winter), and two Christmas Eve services.  More information on each service will be posted as each service nears.

Sacrament of Holy Communion:

We celebrate the sacrament of Communion at different times throughout the year.  Sometimes we celebrate it by intinction; other times, we serve people in their seats.  During service we will explain how we will celebrate it so people know what to expect.

On Communion Sunday children and youth are invited to participate in the whole service rather than attend Sunday School.  Rev. Wendy designs the service as an intergenerational service so that it is appropriate for all ages. By offering an intergenerational service, the youth are given an opportunity to experience the whole worship service and families can worship together.
