Friday, April 11 – Easter Kids’ Celebration & Pizza!
Join us for a fun-filled event where kids will discover the joy of Easter, create their own Resurrection Garden, and enjoy a delicious pizza party!
Create: Make a Resurrection Garden—a hands-on way to explore the Easter story!
Learn: Hear the amazing story of Jesus’ resurrection in a kid-friendly way.
Eat Pizza: Celebrate together with pizza and friends!
Display Your Good Work: Resurrection Gardens will be displayed at the front of the Sanctuary! Children will be invited to take their gardens home with them on Easter Sunday.

AGES: This event is for kids of all ages – Families Welcome!

Saturday, April 13 – Annual Easter Egg Hunt
On Saturday, April 13, St. John’s Presbyterian Church invites you to attend a FREE Community Easter Egg Hunt!

TIME: Starts at 1 p.m.
LOCATION: 2368 Middle Road
Free-will offerings for the Partners in Mission Foodbank are encouraged! Suggested items: Money (your dollars contribute to higher purchasing power), Canned meat & fish, Peanut butter, Stews, canned tomatoes, Baby food, formula, diapers, Pasta, pasta sauce, Cereal, 100% Fruit juice.
Saturday, April 26 – Middle Road Community Clean-Up & BBQ
Join us in caring for our community with a neighbourhood clean-up! We’ll be collecting waste and debris along Middle Road, followed by a FREE BBQ to thank our volunteers.
DATE: Saturday, April 26
TIME: 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
BBQ: 12:30 p.m. (FREE for all volunteers)
MEETING POINT: 2360 Middle Road
What to Bring: Gloves and high-visibility clothing
Volunteer Perk: All participants will be entered into a draw for a locally made gift basket!
Let’s roll up our sleeves and show love for our neighborhood and creation. Everyone is welcome!
This clean-up is part of a city-wide event called Pitch-In Kingston, organized by Sustainable Kingston.
Sugar Shack Sunday April 27
St. John’s Celebration Sunday will highlight the gifts of the land and season with a special “sugar shack” themed potluck. Attendees are encouraged to bring breakfast foods. We’ll be flipping flapjacks! Dennis McNinch will be leading our For the Young and Young At Heart, sharing the maple syrup-making process. (Thank you, Dennis!)
May 1 – Elvis is back in the building
We’re thrilled to welcome back “Elvis” — Mr. Wesley — to St. John’s Presbyterian Church on Thursday, May 1! With a fresh setlist of beloved gospel and classic Rock & Roll, his performance promises to be both joyful and uplifting. Mr. Wesley’s heartfelt ministry through music, paired with his undeniable passion, is sure to leave us all tapping our toes and smiling. Take Part in our Community Clean-Up: To make this community clean-up a success, we need your help.
We are recruiting people for the following jobs:
- Logistics
- Serving/ cooking at the barbecue
- Donating to the Gift Basket of local goodies
- Miscellaneous
