Our Church
St. Mark’s is an enthusiastic, progressive and affirming Christ-centered congregation. We seek to recognize and be grateful for the many gifts God has given to us. We welcome those who worship with us both in person and online, and hope to continue to grow spiritually, influentially and numerically. Our guiding principle is “We live in God’s love and grace; we worship and serve to the Glory of God.”
In non-pandemic times, worship services at St. Mark’s provide opportunity for members to be involved in such activities as greeting, reading scripture, receiving offering and singing in the choir. At this time, our choir has returned, and we are so grateful to have them leading our musical praise. We have not yet resumed the coffee hour following Worship services, but plan to do so when we can safely gather in that way.
On the first Sunday of each month, we celebrate Communion. All are welcome at our table.
We are grateful that during the time the church was closed due to the pandemic, we were able to upgrade our HVAC system to include two HEPA filters, and the ability to have air conditioning in our worship space.
Our Benediction:
Life is short,
and there is not much time to gladden the hearts of those who walk the way with us;
So make haste to love,
be swift to be kind. (adapted from Journal Intime by Henri Frederic Amiel, 1868)
And may the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ
the love of God,
and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit
be with you, and those you love, this day and forevermore.
Amen
