UPDATE … PLEASE NOTE: Due to COVID-19 and our concern for the safety of our congregation, all services of St. Matthew’s Presbyterian Church are cancelled until further notice. Prior to March 2020, services were being held in the chapel of the Lionel Kelland Hospice on St. Catherine Street while restoration continued on the church to repair damage caused by a fire in October 2019. The sanctuary was destroyed by fire, smoke and water and much damage was caused to the rest of the interior. The structure remained sound and we had hoped to complete restoration and resume services by September, which will mark St. Matthew’s 110th anniversary. COVID-19 had other ideas. This website will be updated with place and time when we are allowed to resume services. Thank you and stay safe.
Worship is held on the last Sunday of most months from September through June at 11 a.m. All services but one are led by our interim moderator, the Rev. David Sturtevant or his designated minister. The exception is the December service, which is held on Christmas morning at 10:30 a.m. and conducted by members of the congregation.
