Ladies’ Guild

The Ladies’ Guild is a caring and committed group within St. Paul’s that has long played an important role in the life of the congregation. Rooted in fellowship and service, the Guild meets regularly to share in conversation, prayer, and the ongoing work of caring for others. Meetings normally take place monthly and include a time of devotion and prayer, offerings in support of its various ministries, and fellowship and refreshment. From time to time, there are some fun special outings over a meal too.

Over the years, the Guild has taken on many behind-the-scenes ministries that quietly bless the congregation. They organize and maintain the kitchen, coordinate funeral receptions, organize coffee hours  as well as other meals and celebrations, provide supplies for church gatherings, and help support hospitality efforts throughout the year.

Their care extends to individuals too, offering cards, phone calls, and gestures of kindness. For example, one of their ongoing ministries is the preparation and delivery of cheer baskets to church members who are ill, shut-in, or going through a difficult time. The Guild also sponsors one of the monthly birthday celebrations at Carleton Manor, supporting this shared outreach with local churches by helping provide refreshments and supplies.

In years past, the Guild has organized fundraising efforts and contributed gifts toward the upkeep of the church building, including kitchen care, decorating the sanctuary and helping refurbish the stained glass windows that are such a visible part of St. Paul’s heritage.

While the shape of their work has evolved over time, the spirit of the Ladies’ Guild remains the same: serving with faith, generosity, and compassion.
