In the Presbyterian Church in Canada, a Synod is a court of the church which oversees and serves clusters of Presbyteries united by geography and ministries in the larger region. The Synod of the Atlantic Provinces provides hospital visitation, support staff and an extensive regional camping program at Camp Geddie in Merigomish, Nova Scotia. We support regional ecumenical and independent service ministries within our bounds. We regularly meet once a year to offer support and oversight to Presbyteries and the various shared ministries. At its meeting the Court engages in educational workshops.
