FUNERAL & MEMORIAL SERVICES

During times of grief and loss we often turn to our roots of faith for answers, for support and for comfort.

The congregations of the Tabusintac Pastoral Charge are deeply committed to receiving and offering the hospitality of our sanctuary and facilities for families during their times of sorrow.

The use of facilities are supervised by each congregation’s board of managers and the Joint Session. Grounds and cemeteries are under the care of cemetery boards and committees.

Arrangements for worship events – funerals, committals or memorials – are managed by our minister, the Rev. A.D. Sutherland. Counseling and pastoral care are available through Rev. Sutherland, and through some members of our sessions (our elders).

Some helpful aids:
Funeral Service Pamphlet – this is a generic order of service with a list of hymns and scriptures often used in funerals. It is a useful aid in communicating with clergy and funerals homes about memorial services wishes and style.
Committal Service – this short liturgy covers what most people expect at the time of committal in a service or strictly at graveside.
