Worship is the central act of Christian life, where believers gather together to give praise and thanks to God and to be renewed and sustained by God. This is done through the faithful preaching of the Word, the celebration of the sacraments, the petition of prayers, the singing of hymns and spiritual songs, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit within the body of Christ. Worship is an expression of God’s greatness and love, and it is through worship that we are renewed in our faith, drawn closer to God, and equipped to live out our calling as believers in Christ. Worship is a response to God’s grace, reflecting the centrality of Christ in the life of the church, and is guided by Scripture and the leading of the Holy Spirit.
