About

We believe our life is a gift of God to live, learn, love, and forgive, not to possess or control. We believe Jesus Christ died on the cross, so we live, not to die. We remind ourselves each Sunday by listening to the Word of God, singing hymns, and offering prayers. It is our sincere desire to help each other to seek justice, stay fiercely kind, and walk in faith with God.

Tolmie Memorial Presbyterian Church was built in 1926. It was named after in honour of the Rev. Andrew Tolmie, the father of then minister, Rev. James Craig Tolmie. However, our history goes further back. Our presence in Saugeen Shores goes back to mid 1850’s, when Scottish pioneers first settled in this area. We recognize Queen Hill Church, better known as North Bruce Presbyterian Church, 1854-1959 as the actual beginning of our history. Today Knox Presbyterian Church, Burgoyne is a partner in a two point pastoral charge with us.
