Union Presbyterian Church History

Union Presbyterian Church was founded in 1833 and recently celebrated our 192nd Anniversary (May 25, 2025)!

Union Presbyterian Church near Georgetown, Ontario was organized in 1833 as a congregation of the United Synod of Upper Canada (which united with the Presbyterian Church of Canada in connection with the Church of Scotland in 1840).  In 1846, following the Disruption, Union joined the Presbyterian Church of Canada.  From the 1830s the congregation was linked with Norval Presbyterian Church.  The two congregations were also linked with Boston Presbyterian Church, Esquesing from 1847 to 1850. The congregation rejected Church Union in 1925.
