We Believe:
God
God is the creator and ruler of the universe and has eternally existed in three persons – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are one God; sometimes referred to as the “Trinity”.
Humanity
Our main purpose in life is “to glorify God and enjoy Him forever”! “Man” is made in the image of God; both male and female, and we were created to be like him in character. The book of Genesis tells us that through disobedience toward God humanity became separated from Him
Jesus
Jesus Christ came to earth as the Son of God but was, at the same time, fully human, being born of a virgin named Mary. He lived a sinless human life and offered himself as the perfect sacrifice for our sins by dying on a cross. Jesus rose from the dead after three days and ascended to heaven; he will return again to reign forever as Lord.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is equal with the Father and the Son as God. He is present in the world to make us aware of our need for God. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation, providing us with power for living, for ministry and for understanding spiritual truth.
Salvation
Salvation is a gift from God to humanity. We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, and his forgiveness, can we be saved from sin’s penalty, which is hell. Eternal life begins the moment we receive Jesus Christ into our lives by faith.
The Bible
The Bible is God’s word to humanity. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs, and living, as illuminated by the Spirit.
The Church
The Church (world-wide) is made up of all Christians who believe Christ is the Head of the Body, the Church. The local congregation is a group of believers who come together for worship, prayer, teaching, fellowship, and the sacraments of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
