Registering a domain name (through Hover.com)

Although the title says “…(through Hover.com)”, the principles covered here are applicable for registering a domain through most any domain registrar.

When you’re registering a domain name for your PCCWeb site, in order for the registered domain name to resolve to the PCCWeb server where your website content will be you need to change the nameserver settings to the PCCweb server in the registrar Domain Name Settings (DNS). These must be changed to:

Nameserver ns1.presbyterian.ca ns2.presbyterian.ca

If you want to use your domain name for email we can advise you on that process as there are more steps involved. This is because we do not provide email services so you will have point your email ( MX-Records ) to an email server service of your choice.

  1. Thanks for suggesting Hover! I’ve been hesitant to use GoDaddy, and Namecheap is making it difficult to register a .ca domain. Hover looks awesome.
