OPEN TABLE VOLUNTEERS APPRECIATION MEAL

MAY 27 TH   ALL SAINTS 5:00 PM

THANKS FOR MAKING OUR STUDENT OUTREACH MINISTRY

POSSIBLE THIS PAST YEAR!

Dear Partners in the Open Table Ministry:

The Open Table Ministry just completed a third year of outreach to young adults which is only possible because we work together as Christians. In April we asked the people who came to give us their feedback. Their responses included:

  • It’s a welcoming atmosphere
  • Great people and great food
  • The amazing food and intentional safe place for discussions with friends
  • The delicious food and very kind hearted and friendly people

Clearly the good food is a big draw, and we grateful for the cooks who contribute it month-by-month, and to those who do the barbecuing in all kinds of weather. But the welcome they receive from the people and the optional activities offered are also key to the developing ministry of the Open Table.

So on the last Sunday of May (May 27th) please join us for a volunteer appreciation supper at 5:30 p.m. It will be a chance to meet members of the other partner churches. No need to bring food. But please let us know if you can come. Feel free to bring partners, friends…people who might be interested. We will be sharing some ideas the steering committee came up with for next year—which includes optional activities that give young folks opportunities to reach out themselves.

Yours in Christ,

(The Rev.) Rhondda MacKay
