Ministry

Bradner Presbyterian Church was built in 1932. In its 90+ year history it has, for the most part, struggled to maintain a viable presence in the community. With a strong belief that it has a place in the community, Bradner Church has survived under God’s Guidance and is now a friendly, growing and vibrant place to worship.

At this present time, we are preparing to welcome our new minister on December 3rd 2023 as part of a 2-point charge with St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church in Mission.

Bradner church has been blessed in so many ways and careful “Stewardship” is one of them. This has allowed us to support the food bank, Camp Douglas, the UGM Christmas Dinner Program and our PWS&D clean water initiative. Closer to home we have the Deacon’s Court. This fund, handled separately from our operating budget, was put in place to help support shut -ins and those in the congregation suffering financial distress. Covid 19 has put many of us in that position. Another thing to be thankful for is the church lawn and gardens are being cared for. So let us give thanks to God in all things and be mindful of the needs of others.

There are sermons and choirs on-line and TV.  I can pray and read my Bible at home alone. But… it is when we are all together singing, praising, listening, praying and laughing that I know I’m in church. It is then I feel the Holy Spirit is with us in the loving community of Bradner Presbyterian.  There is nothing available to replace it and I miss you all so much.

We have a strong presence in the Bradner community by participating in it’s Annual Flower Show and by hosting a Craft Fair in the Bradner Community Hall each fall. We hope to become more involved in the Bradner communities May Day celebrations.
