Here’s “The Scoop” for this week.
Rosewood Residence Service
Rosewood Service will be Thursday, May 28th at 1:30 pm. All are welcome to attend and help out with singing while visiting with the residents.
Glasgow Road AMS Collections
Glasgow Road AMS is collecting paper products (toilet and facial tissue) for Gifts From the Heart.
Any donations can be dropped off at Glasgow Road church.
Visibility Ideas
After the Annual Meetings we talked about projects the charge could carry out as fundraisers and to raise visibility in the community.
Some suggestions that have been made are:
– Host a quilt show in co-operation with a quilting group
– A tea (possibly in conjunction with the quilt show)
– A presentation of the history of the church buildings and surrounding communities
– A craft sale
It has also been suggested that we might work in partnership with another community group.
We could have a special service in which we give thanks for and pray for the first responders, health care workers and teachers in our communities.
Any and all ideas are welcome, and if you see how you might help with one of these projects, please let us know.
