Ministry & Resources

Our roads of ministry are like the back-roads of the county; we can go anywhere to do just about anything.

Each of our congregations are distinct in their gifts and mission in their own community. They have joined their resources to supply the region with an ordained minister and stability of church programs t100_2511hat would not have otherwise been possible.

This cooperative relationship has been going on for decades though the number of churches has changed from 6 to 4 over the years.

Within the Pastoral Charge we cooperatively offer Vacation Bible Schools each summer. We are also working to encourage VBS programs in our area through ecumenical outreach and support. As we write much of our own curriculum for our VBS we make it freely available to anyone who requests it.

We have had a strong Sunday School for children up to teen years, This program runs through the winter until the first week of May.

Our youth group is in transition right now, but the congregations have always supported their Weldford-20130708-00413youth in many ministry ventures.

We enjoy bible studies and celebrate several fun and even worshipful feasts and special fellowships like the Maundy Thursday dinner held annually.

We host bible studies, as well as many fellowship groups and our Atlantic Mission Society group. We also have close ties with many community groups including the Happy Stitchers who make quilts and support church and community needs.

We also participate in a ministry to Seniors through the Rexton Lion’s Nursing Home; offering worship services and bible studies in the home. Members of the congregation, have shared in offering these services, and participating special worship events around holidays. We are working on developing a mission in this area as well.

As of September 2018 Rev. Sutherland will be leaving the service of our pastoral Charge and beginning his ministry to the Tabusintac Pastoral Charge.

The following are materials composed by Rev Sutherland are free for your use and devotional study:

This is the program material (“To think about as you begin”) from our Members Classes offered at least once a year. It is mean to accompany The Living Faith.

At different times during the year we use a liturgy during the celebration of the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper.

We host a Maundy Thursday dinner each year; which is a liturgical meal. The ‘haggadah’ liturgy includes the recipes used to make the meal along with helpful educational tools.

Here is a resource from our Bible study that we used through lent  in 2014]. It is a seven week survey of the psalms. Feel free to use it in your group.
