Next Meeting: Finale Sept 8, 2026

On July 28, our new book club began reading Theo of Golden By Allen Levi and we are having the finale Sept 8, 2026.  It isn’t too late to join us!

Bring Feathers and suggestions for our next book.

We will be changing the format for the fall – one book, one meeting a month.  Come and try it out!

We will hold book club in the “Secret Garden” on Waterloo Street.  If there is still construction, we will meet in the multi-purpose room.

Drop in or let Pastor Heather know you are coming!  Hope to see you there!

Latest Recap:
We had a lovely time at book club this week!  The next book club will be September 8 at 10:30 in the secret garden.   We will discuss the end of the book and Theo’s impact and make FeatherWood.
Please bring Feathers
Think about this question: Was Theo’s life lived well?
Recap:
  • We covered the story of Tony retelling his time in Vietnam
  • We talked about the street musician and talked about Augustine and his works on believing everyone can choose to be a saint through Jesus because of grace.  Jesus takes our broken lives and experiences and changes it for good
  • We shared the happiest day of our lives and focused on Ellen’s heartbreaking story and her visit to church!  (I think this was my fav. part of the book so far!)
  • Lastly we listened to the story of Titalamesh read by the author.  Worth a listen – Here is the link if you missed it:  https://www.allenlevi.com/theprincessoftitalamish
