Dr. Nick and Becky Bauman
Dr. Nicholaus (Nick) and Rebecca (Becky) Bauman served a two‐year appointment with the United Mission to Nepal, from February 1, 2017 to January 31, 2019. Nick served as a General Surgeon at the United Mission Hospital Tansen (UMHT) which was first established in 1954. His responsibilities included providing surgical services and teaching postgraduate residents in the Medical Doctorate in General Practice.
Becky, an Occupational Therapist by profession, developed relationships with the New Life Psychiatric Rehabilitation Centre (NLPRC) residents, many of whom are non-verbal and suffer from severe mental trauma. She also helped develop income generating business opportunities for people with spinal cord injury and other rehabilitation patients.
